Stephane Wrembel | Cecil I. Walker Jazz Series

Stephane Wrembel | Cecil I. Walker Jazz Series

Stephane Wrembel is one of the world’s most highly regarded guitarists, renowned for his mastery of the style of legendary composer Django Reinhardt. Originally from France, Wrembel has toured internationally and released more than 20 albums. His original compositions have been featured in Midnight in Paris (“Bistro Fada”), Vicky Cristina Barcelona (“Big Brother”), and Rifkin’s Festival (original score). Midnight in Paris received the Grammy® Award for Best Compilation Soundtrack.

Stephane will be joined by Josh Kaye (guitar), Ari Folman-Cohen (bass), and Nick Anderson (drums).

His performances transcend genre boundaries, offering something different to every music enthusiast. As he himself puts it, “I just play my own music. It’s not only for the rock music lover, the Django Reinhardt lover or jazz lover. It’s for the music lover.”

The Cecil I. Walker Jazz Series is supported by the Cecil I. Walker Charitable Trust.

The Clay Center’s performing and visual arts offerings are presented with financial assistance from the West Virginia Department of Tourism and the National Endowment for the Arts, with approval from the West Virginia Commission on the Arts.
