Book of the Week: Doris by Lo Cole

This week’s BookBuds Storytime features Doris by Lo Cole, a bright and heartwarming story about a shy little elephant learning to embrace what makes her unique. Doris tries her best to blend in, but her bold red color always makes her stand out. Along the way, she discovers that being different isn’t something to hide, it’s something to celebrate!

This engaging, drop-in program encourages early literacy, fine motor skills, and caregiver connection, all in our Interactive Art Space located in the Juliet Art Museum, a warm and welcoming environment perfect for young learners.

After the story, stick around for hands-on fun with themed activities and a creative craft inspired by Doris and the joy of self-expression.

Ideal for ages 1–6, but all are welcome. Free with museum admission.
