Social Media & Visual Identity Manager

SUMMARY: The Social Media & Visual Identity Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the Clay Center's social media strategy while maintaining and strengthening the organization's visual identity across all platforms. This position creates engaging digital content, oversees the Clay Center's social media presence, manages and mentors social media interns, and ensures all visual and digital communications consistently reflect the Clay Center brand. The Social Media & Visual Identity Manager leads the planning, coordination, and oversight of photography and videography efforts to build and maintain a comprehensive, high-quality catalog of visual assets that support marketing, fundraising, membership, education, performances, exhibitions, and community engagement. This position collaborates with departments across the organization to tell the Clay Center's story through compelling, cohesive, and visually engaging content.


SALARY RANGE:
$50,000 - $55,000

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school) in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Digital Media, Public Relations, or related field.

  • Experience: At least 2–4 years of professional experience managing social media, digital marketing, brand management, communications, or related experience. Experience supervising interns or student employees preferred.

  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.); experience with social media management platforms, analytics tools, Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite; photography and video editing software preferred.

  • Other Requirements: Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills; strong visual design and branding abilities; photography and videography experience preferred; knowledge of current social media trends and best practices; excellent organizational and project management skills; ability to manage multiple deadlines; strong interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively; creative problem-solving skills; willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends to support organizational events and social media coverage.
