Juliet Art Museum to Present Good Business: Andy Warhol’s Screenprints

Exclusive Regional Debut – October 1, 2025 through March 29, 2026

CHARLESTON, WV (September 30, 2025) – The Juliet Art Museum at the Clay Center for the Arts & Sciences of WV is honored to announce the upcoming exhibition “Good Business: Andy Warhol’s Screenprints”, on view from October 1, 2025, through March 29, 2026. This highly anticipated presentation marks the first time this exhibition has traveled outside of The Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, bringing Warhol’s most iconic works — and his powerful legacy — to audiences across Appalachia.

Organized by The Andy Warhol Museum, Good Business explores the artist’s pioneering use of screenprinting and how this medium became both a tool of mass production and a bold artistic statement. Featuring vibrant, often provocative images of celebrities, consumer products, and cultural symbols, the exhibition invites viewers to consider the role of art in commerce, repetition, fame, and identity.

Though known worldwide, Andy Warhol’s roots and relevance in Appalachia run deep. As a native of Pittsburgh — often considered a cultural gateway to the Appalachian region — Warhol’s industrial surroundings and working-class upbringing shaped his approach to image-making, production, and self-invention. His democratization of art through mass reproduction continues to inspire generations of Appalachian artists working at the intersection of tradition, innovation, and accessibility.

“Hosting this exhibition in Charleston is an extraordinary opportunity — not just because of Warhol’s international stature, but because his story resonates so strongly with our own regional artists,” said Lindsay Miranda, Curator of Art and Engagement at the Juliet Art Museum. “Warhol turned everyday objects into icons, challenged the status quo, and blurred the lines between fine art and popular culture — and that spirit of reinvention is something deeply familiar to creatives across Appalachia.”
