ROAR & EXPLORE with DINOSAURS

Get ready to roar, explore, and travel millions of years into the past with Roar & Explore with Dinosaurs, a thrilling new traveling exhibit at the Clay Center!

Step into a prehistoric world where seven lifelike animatronic dinosaurs come to life through realistic movements, sounds, and immersive environments. Encounter a towering Diplodocus, come face-to-face with a fierce Tyrannosaurus Rex, and discover a Velociraptor guarding a nest of hatching eggs. With realistic scenery and landscaping surrounding each dinosaur, young explorers can imagine what it was like when these magnificent creatures ruled the Earth.

The adventure goes beyond seeing dinosaurs. Kids can dig for fossils in a fossil pit and piece together 3D dinosaur skeleton puzzles through hands-on activities designed to inspire curiosity, discovery, and learning through play.

Whether your child dreams of becoming a paleontologist or simply loves dinosaurs, Roar & Explore with Dinosaurs offers an unforgettable prehistoric adventure for the whole family.

And there’s even more to explore: this exhibit marks the grand opening of the Clay Center’s brand-new traveling exhibit space, located beneath the Caperton Planetarium & Theater. The new space gives the Clay Center greater capacity to bring exciting, large-scale traveling exhibitions to West Virginia.
