Early Explorers - Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak
Let your imagination run wild! Inspired by Where the Wild Things Are, children will journey into a world of fantastical creatures and faraway adventures. After the story, little explorers will design and build their very own wild things using materials such as paper, clay, and cardboard. This imaginative making experience encourages self-expression, creative problem-solving, and the joy of bringing an idea to life.
Early Explorers invites our youngest Explorers to discover the world through stories, music, play, and hands-on activities! Each month features a new theme with engaging experiences designed to spark curiosity, encourage creativity, and introduce early learning concepts.
Ideal for ages 1–6, but all are welcome. Free with museum admission.
Early Explorers may not occur on select dates due to special events or programming. Please speak with the Box Office upon arrival for the most up-to-date schedule.
