Early Explorers - Up, Up, and Away by Margaret Hiller and Robert Mash

Early Explorers - Up, Up, and Away by Margaret Hiller and Robert Mash

Get ready to look up and explore the wonders above us! With Up, Up, and Away as our guide, children will imagine soaring through the sky and discovering the mysteries of space. Then, we'll bring the moon a little closer with a creative printing activity. Using foil as a stamp, young explorers will press and print crater-like textures to create their own moon surfaces. This activity introduces texture, patterns, and the fascinating features of our lunar neighbor.

Early Explorers invites our youngest Explorers to discover the world through stories, music, play, and hands-on activities! Each month features a new theme with engaging experiences designed to spark curiosity, encourage creativity, and introduce early learning concepts.

Ideal for ages 1–6, but all are welcome. Free with museum admission.

Early Explorers may not occur on select dates due to special events or programming. Please speak with the Box Office upon arrival for the most up-to-date schedule.
