Book of the Week: A Penguin Story by Antoinette Portis
This week’s BookBuds Storytime features A Penguin Story by Antoinette Portis, a delightful tale that follows Edna the penguin as she searches for something new in her black-and-white-and-blue world. Young readers will love exploring Edna’s curiosity, creativity, and courage as she discovers that the world is full of surprises.
This engaging, drop-in program encourages early literacy, fine motor skills, and caregiver connection, all in our Interactive Art Space located in the Juliet Art Museum - a warm and welcoming environment perfect for young learners.
After our story, children will get to bring the magic to life with a hands-on craft! Kids will create their very own handprint penguins to take home—a perfect keepsake from a frosty fun-filled day at the Clay Center.
Ideal for ages 1–6, but all are welcome. Free with museum admission.
BookBuds Storytime may not occur on select dates due to special events or programming. Please speak with the Box Office upon arrival for the most up-to-date schedule.
