Facility Technician

Bistro Attendant

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide excellent customer service while serving patrons of the Bistro and making sure guests have a positive dining experience. The Bistro Attendant will perform daily duties such as: stocking and prepping food options, cashing out patrons and managing the register, maintaining a clean dining area by busing tables and returning trays and utensils, and assist patrons with any dining needs. The Bistro attendant may also assist in seating and serving guests for special events and evening performances as scheduled. Planetarium & Science Educator

The Planetarium and Science Educator is passionate about enhancing the accessibility of science communication for diverse audiences of all ages. The Planetarium and Science Educator will work with the Clay Center Education Team to develop and deliver engaging educational programs, events, and presentations for the Caperton Planetarium & Theater and the Avampato Discovery Museum. They will coordinate all software and technical-related aspects of the planetarium systems with the Clay Center’s Technical Coordinator and third-party contractors to ensure optimum operating conditions for the theater and its systems.
