(Charleston, W.Va.) 6/22/2017 – The Mayor’s Concert featuring Robert Randolph and the Family Band, Co-Presented with the Clay Center for the Arts & Sciences of West Virginia, will take place on Thursday, June 22 as part of the annual FestivAll Charleston event.

Robert Randolph is a renowned pedal steel guitarist, vocalist and songwriter that is today an inspiration to the likes of Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana and Derek Trucks, all of whom have played with him and studied his technique. Enjoy a fusion of rock, funk soul, jazz and jam band influences as Randolph dazzles you with his steel guitar techniques. He has filled New York City clubs and wowed the masses at festivals like Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits, and the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, and on June 22 he will fill the Clay Center in Charleston, WV. New Breed Brass Band will provide opening support for this show, taking the stage at 7pm. New Breed Brass Band lives and breathes the culture of New Orleans, infusing funk, rock, jazz, and hip-hop into a custom-made enhancement of second-line brass band tradition.
