Juliet Art Museum Invitational
Opening November 4th
The second Juliet Art Museum Invitational exhibition showcases contemporary West Virginia artists working in various media, highlighting several rich creative communities throughout our state. Artists were selected based on their craftsmanship and quality of their work and their commitment to their practice. New works by established artists demonstrate these creators honing their respective talents with diligence. Emerging artists explore pressing social issues often through experimental means. The exhibition supports our local artists while exposing our community to the breadth of art in West Virginia. Audiences will discover artists from across our state through their paintings, drawings, prints, photographs, sculpture, and textiles, reflecting a diversity of approaches.
This exhibit is presented with support from Daywood Foundation, Herscher Foundation, Elliot Family Foundation, and the Bernard H. and Blanche E. Jacobson Foundation. The Clay Center’s performing arts and visual arts offerings are presented with financial assistance from the West Virginia Department of Arts, Culture, and History, and the National Endowment for the Arts, with approval from the West Virginia Commission on the Arts. The Clay Center salutes Fund for the Arts and the following major donors to Fund for the Arts whose annual gifts of $10,000 or more help all the arts thriving in our area: City of Charleston, Cecil I. Walker Charitable Foundation, Daywood Foundation, Spilman, Foundation Thomas & Battle PLLC.
