The Clay Center is paving the way for more convenient access to education, entertainment and the arts! Beginning in August, the Clay Center will be renovating and relocating the current parking lot on Washington Street.  Currently the lot extends perpendicular to Washington Street, after renovations, the lot will be located parallel to Washington Street with easier access to the newly created cross walk.

Additional enhancements will include a modernized, electronic payment system for easier access – no more need to carry cash or change when visiting!  Renovation plans also include an attendant booth for performance parking administration, additional lighting, more directional signage, and green space beautification for a park like feel.

During this reconstruction, due to be finished in October, we do recommend giving additional time when attending shows or events.  We have made arrangements with several local businesses to provide access to their lots on a daily basis and during evening activities.  Please visit the Clay Center on Facebook and at our website under “Visit” for a map listing alternative parking locations.
