TAO’s modern, high-energy performances showcasing the ancient art of Japanese drumming have transfixed audiences worldwide. The performers of TAO: Drum Heart creates an energetic and unforgettable production by combining highly physical, large-scale drumming with contemporary costumes, precise choreography, and innovative visuals. The group performed at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, and they have toured the world, performing to a global audience of more than seven million.

The performers who take the stage for TAO are both highly trained athletes and highly-expressive artists. Melodies of various genres and traditional instruments result in an enchanting scene that only TAO can present, using world-class techniques and specialized knowledge. From 2012, global fashion designer Junko Koshino has collaborated with TAO to unite fashion and entertainment, making an even more sublime performing art.
