Spring Fling at the Clay Center

Come celebrate the Spring Season at the Clay Center with special activities throughout the Museum.
We’ll be embracing a theme of “Plants and Pollinators” through chromographic butterfly crafts in the Juliet Art Museum, special workshops from visiting naturalists in the Susan Runyan Maier Sculpture Garden, and hands-on “seed bomb” projects with a focus on native West Virginia wildflowers!
We’ll also be taking a celestial view of the season by using an orrery to teach concepts like axial tilt and how and why our season’s change. And don’t forget to stop by the Caperton Planetarium & Theater for a brand-new version of the Spring Skies presentation where you’ll learn how to spot the planet Venus, which constellations shine above us during the Spring, and a whole lot more!
