Join the Clay Center in celebration of International Blues Music Day!

All three floors of the Center will come alive with the sounds of music celebrating International Blues Music Day! On this day we will join other organizations across the world in celebrating, promoting, and preserving the rich legacy, tradition, and future of the great American art form and international language known as blues music. Featured activities include:

  • 12:00 & 2:00 p.m. – Performances by Lady D!
  • Ongoing – Instrument Petting Zoo
  • Ongoing – Create Your Own Album Artwork
  • Ongoing – Make Your Own Percussion Instrument
  • Playing Hourly – The Premiere of the new film, America’s Musical Journey in the Caperton Planetarium & Theater (additional fees apply)
  • 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. – Write Your Own Blues Song Workshop with Musicians, Ron Sowell & Todd Burge (Ages 8-12 years, limited space, additional fees apply/advanced registration required)

Most activities are included with admission, $9 for adults and $7.50 for students & seniors.  Clay Center members and children two years and under are FREE!
