Homeschool Day – Engineering 101

Homeschool students – this one is for you! Join us for Homeschool Day this Thursday, February 17th for our STEAM workshop called Engineering 101!

Students will learn about the basics of design in this one of a kind workshop!  Participants will learn what engineers do, make some observations about a device that someone else made, create a detailed blueprint of that device, and then (when the device suddenly vanishes!) recreate their blueprint and design a new prototype. Be sure to pre-register your student, as tickets will not be available the day-of!

The schedule is as follows:

9:30 AM – Arrival/Check-In
10:00 AM – Ages 6-9 – STEM Lab
10:00 AM – Ages 10-13 – Museum Gallery Exploration
10:50 AM – Ages 6-9 – Parents/Guardians are invited in the workshop to see child’s work
11:00 AM – Ages 10-13 STEM Lab
11:00 AM – Ages 6-9 – Museum Gallery Exploration
11:50 AM – Ages 10-13 – Parents/Guardians are invited in the workshop to see child’s work
12:00 PM – Lunch*

*Café is currently closed while we transition food service providers, please plan to bring a lunch if you would like to eat at the Center.

Note – The 10:00 AM Workshop is for 6-9 Years Only. The 11:00 AM Workshop is for 10 – 13+ Years Only.  Due to limited space, parents will not be able to attend the workshop. Accommodations can be made for students with special needs who require assistance.
