What will you choose?!  Join the Clay Center on Saturday, May 27th from 11:00am – 4:00pm to explore a world of art and science! Challenges wait around each corner as you work to determine which is more impactful – art or science!  Spend the day experimenting with hands-on art and science challenges.  You may find that both adventures lead to messy fun and new discoveries!

A variety of demonstrations and hands on workshops will be offered during the Family Fun day including: lycopodium fireball demonstrations, large bubbles, viscosity painting, sidewalk chalk art, artist and scientist hat designs, and so much more!

Also available, a hands on workshop led by visiting artist Patte Loper. In this workshop, Loper invites participants of all ages to use a mix of art materials and found objects – along with imagination and courage to make ‘experimental science’ by constructing science-fiction based sculptural objects. Expect failure and fun in the process.

Family Fun Day activities are free with the cost of admission to the museum. $9 for adults, $7.50 for kids and always free for our members!  An additional charge of $5 per person participating will apply to the workshop led by artist Patte Loper.
