Educators

We are excited to offer virtual field trips!

The virtual field trip program invites teachers to bring the Clay Center to their students live, through the virtual platform you typically use to teach, like Microsoft Teams or another video conferencing platform.

Here’s how it works:

Teachers can come to the Clay Center and bring the device(s) typically used to present to students virtually  OR  Teachers can provide the Clay Center Education Team a link or login to join the classroom virtually without needing to be on-site at the Center.

During the presentation, a member of the Clay Center Education staff will present a live science demonstration and a hands-on mini-STEM Lab that allows students to use simple supplies to try an experiment at home or in the classroom.  The presentation wraps up with either the teacher or a Clay Center Education staff member highlighting a few exhibits from our hands-on galleries as a virtual tour of the Museum.

If you think this would be a great fit for your classroom and home based learners, please let us know – we’re scheduling now! Please email  groupreservations@theclaycenter.org for details!
Reserve your field trip early for a variety of creative learning opportunities geared for your class. With brand-new field trip packages it is easier than ever to book a field trip that is fun for everyone!  Let us help you build an “edutaining” experience your students won’t soon forget!

Group rates are available to groups who schedule at least two weeks in advance.

For a preview of the Clay Center’s new exhibit, My Town, please watch the below video.  It’s the perfect representation of the exhibit and how you can incorporate it in to lesson plans prior to or following your visit!
