This dynamic space, located in our main lobby area, hosts a variety of changing, temporary science exhibits throughout the year, and allow the Clay Center to provide new and exciting hands-on experiences for our members and guests. Our schedule of upcoming exhibits is very diverse ranging from toys to space science to crime lab detective work!

Your Spitting Image
May 26 – September 2
What does your spit say about you? Discover hidden secrets found only inside your mouth as you uncover the mysteries of forensic dentistry and the future of bioengineering. Learn the advantages of good dental health and the importance of saliva in this educational and fun, interactive exhibit on loan from The Samuel D. Harris National Museum of Dentistry. In addition to these hands-on elements, younger guests can visit our Jr. Dental Lab where they can play dentist by checking out X-rays and brushing and flossing a larger than life set of teeth. We’ll also have an interactive display focusing on teeth from various animals and learn what their choppers have to say about them! Special thanks to West Virginia University School of Dentistry for making this exhibit possible at the Clay Center.
