Family Fun Night

Big Top Science!
Thursday, May 17
5 – 7:30 pm
It’s three rings of fun with this all new Family Fun Night focusing on circus science! Learn the art of balancing with “high wire” art activities. Check out our special guest performers as the Maverick Gymnastics team joins us for a tumbling spectacular. You can also get in on the fun with our Big Top Science demo, culminating with an exciting cannon blast! And, even though they’re far from trained animals, see amazing lions with a special showing of our giant screen adventure film Roar: Lions of the Kalahari at 6 pm (additional film admission is required; all other activities are included with gallery admission). Get $1 OFF admission to Big Top Science when you present your coupon from National Lab Day.

Space Out Saturday
Saturday, June 2
10 am – 4 pm
It’s out-of-this-world fun as you explore the cosmos with us and the Kanawha County Public Library! Take a walk through our solar system as you learn about the planets and our sun. Get creative as you design a rocket or make your own planet pendant necklace. Check out our water rocket launches throughout the afternoon and see if you have what it takes to be an astronaut in our Astronaut Training Lab. We are also partnering with the Kanawha County Public Library for their summer reading program kickoff. Stop by and sign up to be part of “Reading is a Blast!” and get in on a chance to design your own rocket with the NASA IV & V Resource Center (space limited). NASA and Library activities free; all other activities included with gallery admission.
