Children and Family Workshops


Summer Camps


Full day camps run from 9 am to 5 pm. Lunch, early drop-offs and late pick-ups are available for an additional fee. 

Grades listed indicate grades students will be entering in the fall.

Sports Science with WVU Science Behind the Sport
June 20 - 24

Grades 3 - 6
$150 for members, $175 for non-members

Students will work with WVU Science Behind the Sport team to learn about the physics of ziplining and bicycle engineering. Learn the secrets behind other sports with Clay Center staff and take a field trip to the Power Park!

Theatre with Alban Arts Center
June 27 - July 1

Grades 4 - 7
$150 for members, $175 for non-members

Campers will participate in acting sessions with Adam Bryan, movement sessions with Leah Turley and will design and build costumes and set pieces. On the final day of camp, the kids will put on a production for parents and other guests. 

Gaming & Fitness with LeAna Paxson
July 5 - 8

Grades 2 - 6

$120 for members, $145 for non-members

Join certified fitness instructor Leana Paxson in this high-activity camp that brings video games to life!

Art in Motion with Jeff Pierson's Doodle Studios
July 11 - 15

Grades 1 - 5

$150 for members, $175 for non-members

Jeff Pierson, local artist and owner of Doodle Studios, will join us each day to introduce campers to various art techniques. 

Girls' Science with PBS SciGirls
July 18 - 22

Grades 3 - 7

$150 for members, $175 for non-members

This week of camp is all about GIRLS! Using the PBS show SciGirls, we will engage campers in exploring science in fun and engaging ways. 

Nature Explorers with PBS Nature Cat
July 25 - 29

Grades K - 2

$150 for members, $175 for non-members

Using the PBS show Nature Cat we will learn to love the outdoors and explore all the things you can do outside.
