Michael Johnson brings warm, friendly style to Woody Hawley Concert Series


Enjoy the smooth baritone and intricate guitar playing of a crowd-pleasing performer as Michael Johnson plays the Clay Center’s Walker Theater Saturday, Jan. 5.

This Woody Hawley Concert Series show begins at 7:30 p.m. and opens with local father-daughter duo Mark and Micah Atkinson.
With a style steeped heavily in pop, country and folk, this singer-songwriter is known for popular hits like “Bluer Than Blue,” “Give Me Wings” and “That’s That.” A showman with a passion for intimate settings and close crowd interaction, Johnson brings heart and humor to the stage and puts you at ease with the feeling of being at home with a friend. 
The Woody Hawley Concert Series features celebrated singer-songwriters in an intimate, cabaret-style setting. All shows take place on Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are still available for this and other upcoming shows, including Kristy Jackson, Cheryl Wheeler, Jonathan Edwards and Peter Yarrow.
