For even more holiday excitement, visit the art gallery to see whimsically designed and decorated trees and original works by emerging W. Va. artists in “Traditions: A Celebration of Heritage.” This unique exhibit will be on display through Dec. 30. Then, travel around the globe to discover the origins of different holiday celebrations and traditions in the original planetarium show “Reason for the Season,” showing through Jan 6.
All Holly Day activities, with the exception of ornament-making, are included with gallery admission, which is free for Clay Center museum members or $6 for children and $7.50 for adults. Films and planetarium shows are additional.
Keep the celebration going with an exciting series of hands-on crafts beginning the day after Christmas. Journey around the globe with Holiday Break art activities, taking place daily from noon – 4 p.m. and included in gallery admission. The complete schedule includes:

The Clay Center box office will close early at 3 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 24 and Monday, Dec. 31, and the Center will be closed all day Thursday, Nov. 22, Tuesday, Dec. 25 and Tuesday, Jan. 1.
