The Clay Center offers the convenience of a parking lot on Washington Street immediately across from the building.
There is a $3/day charge to park in this lot. If the lot is unattended, you may place your payment in the pay kiosk that is located at the front of the parking lot. Each parking space in the lot is assigned a number, which coordinates with the numbers on the pay kiosk.
Please note, this parking lot is owned by AMPCO Parking Systems and the Clay Center is not responsible for any losses or damages.
What to do if you receive a ticket for non-payment
in the Clay Center parking lot
If you return to your vehicle and notice a yellow ticket envelope on your windshield, you will need to go to the pay kiosk before you leave the lot. Please place your $3 in the envelope, seal it shut and insert the envelope into the slot at the pay kiosk.
Handicap parking is available in the Clay Center parking lot and on Washington Street, next to the Clay Center. Please note that all handicap street parking is metered by the City of Charleston.
