Science Workshops (45 minutes)
Cost: $2 per student
Workshop limit: 60; For grades PreK – 8
Looking for a great way for students to learn while still having fun?  Bring your whole class for one of our hands-on Student Workshops! All workshops last approximately 45 minutes and are only an additional $2 per student.  

Spring semester student workshops begin Wednesday, January 21, 2009.

Liquid Explorations (available on Wednesdays)
Explore density, viscosity and other fascinating properties of liquids!


Simple Chemistry (available on Thursdays)
Discover the chemist in each of your students with some hands-on chemical reactions!


Animals and their Habitats (available on Fridays)
Examine the natural homes and diets of our animal friends in this live-animal workshop.

Science Showcase Demonstrations (30 minutes)
Cost: $1 per student; Attendance Limit: 200
Discover the fun side of science as your students learn about chemistry and physics with Whiz, Bang, BOOM! featuring some of our favorite science tricks. 


Distance Learning
The Green Bank Experience
Available on Wednesdays at 11 a.m.
Attendance Limit: 175; Grades 5 – 12
Students will see a video presentation about the observatory, link up live with a scientist to learn about the latest research and end with a nighttime star talk.
