Can’t make it to the Clay Center? Let us bring the excitement and learning to your classroom! Assembly-style demos, hands-on workshops and more fun await you as part of the Clay Center’s exciting Outreach programs! Our affordable, educational distance learning and on-site outreach programs will complement your curriculum and meet a variety of learning objectives. 
Availability and Program fees:
Clay Center Outreach programs are scheduled mainly on Mondays and Tuesdays, with weekends or other days available on a limited basis.
Fees, including travel and program/workshop charges, depend on a variety of factors including site distance from Clay Center, number of programs and number of required staff. For a price quote on an Outreach program, please contact our Outreach Coordinator at the number or email address listed above. Please have available an approximate number of students and your chosen date(s).

A chemical showcase with lots of crowd-pleasing chemical reactions! 
(30 minute assembly demo; 30 minute student workshop sessions)

Have the Clay Center at your school for a full day of fun! Start the day off with an exciting, assembly-style demo all about the world of bubbles. Our Clay Center “Bubble-ologist” will WOW your students with the art and science of bubble making, while demonstrating surface tension, elasticity and other bubbly science phenomena. Then, our Bubble-ologist will work with individual classes and parent volunteers as your students explore hands-on bubble stations focusing on the technology, shape, size and color of bubbles. All students who participate will receive our secret bubble solution recipe and their own certificate as a Junior Bubble-ologist!
Rules of the Game

(45 minutes) Grades K-12
25 – 30 students per session; 4 sessions max. per day 
Our most popular outreach program, STARLAB is a portable, inflatable planetarium that allows schools to meet many state content standards in science, math and social studies. Topics available are Solar System and Galaxy, African Mythology and Plate Tectonics. 
**NOTE: Starlab must be used indoors, and requires an electrical outlet and a room at least 20’ x 20’ with at least a 12’ ceiling. STARLAB is also available for rental - call for details. 
Animal Meet and Greets 
(40 minutes) Grades K - 8
40 students; 4 show max. per day 
Bring the zoo to your classroom! Meet some of the Clay Center’s reptiles and insects in this fun, interactive learning lab. Learn about the animals, their habitats, defenses and other unusual characteristics. Students will also have the opportunity to touch many of the animals – if they choose!
STUFFEE Health Science
(45 minutes) Grades Prek-6
30 students; 4 show max. per day
Meet Stuffee, our health mascot – a big, blue-haired, unzippable character that shows the amazing inner–workings of the human body!

A great hands-on experience, these workshops are the perfect addition to an Assembly Demo or as a stand-alone classroom experience. Attendance limit of 40 students per show.
