Predator and Prey
Grades K - 8

Learn about predator and prey relationships in this interactive workshop! Start by playing a learning game where students become predators challenged to gather enough food to survive. Next, meet some of the Clay Center animals and to an up-close look at what features distinguish a prey animal from a predator.
Animal Architecture
Grades K - 8

In this creative workshop, students use inspiration from animal-made structures to design and build their own masterpieces. All students will leave with a small art/science “souvenir” of their own creation!
Grades 4 - 12

Challenge your students with science and math in this workshop that asks the question, ‘Are you special’? Students work in teams to gather data about inherited physical traits such as earlobe attachment, tongue rolling, super tasting and more! Next, we practice data analysis by using the results to compare the population of Charleston to the known averages for these traits.
