Chemical Reactions is a fun, hands-on way to introduce students to the excitement of chemistry. Students perform an experiment, make observations and hypothesize about the results.
Program Outline:
1. Basic chemical reaction. Students off-site and presenter at Clay Center perform together.
2. Interactive question and answer session as students share their observations.
3. Interactive discussion session as students hypothesize about the results and what created the heat in their exothermic reactions.
4. Further experimentation to discover answers to hypotheses.
