DISTANCE LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES
(requires IP to IP video capability)

Through live, interactive videoconferencing, your students can participate in conversations with museum educators that are two-way and fully interactive. Current programs are designed for grades K-12 and meet WV content standards. Stuffee's Kitchen
Grades K-5

Stuffee, the Clay Center ’s health science mascot, is a great way to teach students about the human body and nutrition. Our Stuffee distance learning program consists of two parts – a Stuffee’s Kitchen show with interactive question and answer session and an on-site activity in which students create their own “Insides on the Outside” apron with the organs of the digestive system.

Mission Mullens
Grades 6-8
Mission Mullens is a computer generated study and simulation that appeals to students because of the real world connection. Many of your students will have experienced flooding and the mission will help them understand how floods affect the Earth. Students will form ERTs (Emergency Response Teams) and will prepare reports that will help the people of Mullens. This activity is a great way to practice data collection and technical writing.
