The Collectors Club is a membership organization that is part of the Avampato Discovery Museum.

The primary mission of the Collectors Club is to contribute financial and other support to acquire works of art for the Permanent Collection of the Clay Center’s Avampato Discovery Museum and support and enhance the visual arts in our community.
Growing the Permanent Art Collection
The Collectors Club plays a prominent role in growing and augmenting the Permanent Collection of the Museum. Since its founding in 1986 the Collectors Club has contributed more than $400,000 and acquired more than 55 works of art for the Museum and more recently, to present guest artists, arts professionals and an artist’s exhibition.
These Collectors Club acquisitions are the core of the Museum's Permanent Collection. Through the selections process on new works of art and ongoing educational programs the Collectors Club has encouraged numerous members to contribute additional significant works of art to the Museum.

Educational and Social Events
The Collectors Club organizes educational and social events, throughout the year, designed to further the education of its Members on works of art, increase their knowledge and enjoyment of the fine arts and thus improve their ability to further the interests of the Museum.

The events include:

  • Presentations and discussions by noted art experts
  • Exclusive walk through of art exhibits by the curator
  • Guided tours to art studios in major art cities such as New York and San Francisco
  • Participation and voting rights in the selection process for art work contributions

Membership in the Collectors Club is is open to all Clay Center members. You may download a membership form here.
